GODDESSES
12 – 22 February 2025
A group of Year 9 and Year 12 students were inspired by the textile artists Anne Kelly, Caitlin Hinshelwood and Marion Elliot to produce some large textile hangings on the theme of Goddesses, which is our new school House system. Students worked in groups to research the narrative story of their chosen goddess to find symbols and figures, and some produced tableaux vivants of their goddess stories. The final hangings show a combination of techniques, including fabric appliqué using hand-painted and recycled fabric combined with stitch, embroidery and screen-printing.
