The SVAF OPEN 2025 a biennial celebration of our artist colleagues.

Reflecting the variety of members’ practice ‘The SVAF OPEN 2025’ sees a showcase of drawing, textile, photography, painting, print, ceramics, installation and sculpture. We are delighted that 88 of our artist members chose to exhibit this year. This OPEN is a true open and is nonselective; all 140+ members were invited to exhibit.

The SVAF OPEN Art Awards

SVAF would like to thank Paula MacArthur International artist, curator and tutor for selecting our three equal £150 prize winning artists. Paulas work can be seen in the Mezzanine Exhibition space just outside the Gallery.

Paula MacArthur trained at Loughborough College of Art & Design and then The Royal Academy Schools in London. She exhibits and curates nationally and internationally. In 2018 Paula presented a solo show of recent works at Sevenoaks Kaleidoscope Art Gallery and returned in 2021 to curate and exhibit in Supernature with painters Susan Absolon, Rachel Lancaster, Joe Packer and Paul Smith.
Alongside her studio practice, Paula is a mentor for Turps Art School, a BA Painting Programme Tutor at OCA, Coordinator of the Contemporary British Painting Prize and a committee member of the artist-led group Contemporary British Painting.
Her work is held in private and public collections around the world including National Portrait Gallery London, Priseman Seabrook Collection, Baron & Baroness von Oppenheim and Jiangsu Art Museum in China. paula-macarthur.com

PUBLIC VOTE PRIZES  During the exhibition there is also a public vote for 3 equal  £100 prizes to be awarded in January 2026. Come in and choose your favourites.
