GOING SOLO

Paintings
20 November – 7 December 2024
This show is a selection of work completed over the last two years while I’ve been a student at The Essential School of Painting (ESOP) in Wood Green , London.
I embarked on the Advanced Painting course in September 2022 and completed it in July this year.
The course gave me the opportunity to completely immerse myself in painting and become part of a community of artists.
At the beginning of 2023 I made ‘The ties that bind’ – a piece of work about the bond I had with my mum which led me to explore through my work what it is to be human; such as connection to each other and our environment, memory, imagination, dreaming and the unconscious.
I’m lucky enough to now have a studio space at ESOP for at least another year, there, ‘my only focus is in the joy of playing with paint and nothing else’
