TEXTILE STUDIO
We are pleased to welcome The Textile Studio artists as the first exhibitors in our new Mezzanine exhibition space just outside the Gallery.
The Textile Studio was originally formed more than 50 years ago and has included many textile artists from South London and Kent who have exhibited locally, nationally and internationally. There are currently 22 members whose work includes hand and machine stitching, feltmaking, fabric painting and dying and many other techniques. Much experimentation takes place and members aim to produce original contemporary work.
Work includes The Denim project where members used the fabric to consider its current impact significance as well as decorative potential.
