SELF PORTRAITS
2- 19 April 2025
We are wind tunnels: all life, ideas encounters roar through us like wild animals and are written in our creative work.
So it is impossible to be invisible.
What we make as artists reveals us and that confrontation is problematic; we do everything to escape it. I’ve used found
materials here to avoid the intimacy of brushstrokes. But merely revisiting our work takes us to the absolute core of who we
were at that making time.
Being several different people at one time – these images are all aspects of myself – we become eventually all the people we’ve
ever known.
These pieces evolved out of a rage against advertising and are entirely composed of throw-away glossy mags.
